CHILEAN TAXONOMIC WORKSHOP
I was very pleased to conduct, for the first time, a taxonomic workshop in arthropod biodiversity with the help of Dr. Michael Irwin from University of Illinois, Urbana and Dr. Diana Silva from California Academy of Sciences . We also have help from Dr. Fred Andrews from the California Department of Food & Agriculture, Senior Scientist and Dr. Demian K. Kondo from UCD. Providing help with the students was Parataxonomist Sergio Ocares F. Javier Labra, National Park Administrator , provided lodging for the teachers. The students were all highly motivated despite the heavy rain. Field was limite but we have a great experience.
We ended the course by presenting the certificates and a great BBQ. We hope we can repeat this course again.
